Yesterday it was announced that Academy Award winning actor Michael Douglas will be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatment for tumor in his throat. The treatment is expected to last eight weeks.
Doctors expect the 65 year old actor to make a full recovery.
Michael Douglas has won three Golden Globes and two Academy Awards, first as producer of 1975′s Best Picture, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and as Best Actor in 1987 for his role in Wall Street. Douglas received the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2009.
He also co-starred in the TV series The Streets of San Francisco from 1972 to 1976.
This fall, Douglas appears in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” the sequel to “Wall Street.”
